A Day in the Life of a Warehouse Manager at Smart Energy Answers: Ensuring Smooth Operations and Sustainable Solutions

What does a typical day look like for you at Smart Energy Answers?

As a Warehouse Manager, I look after the incoming and outgoing stock for the entire business. My responsibility is to ensure installers have what they need to service our customers and that all information is documented accurately. I also liaise with contractors across Victoria, the Central Coast and rest of the East Coast as well as the team at our headquarters in NSW to ensure items are received and dispatched on time.

What do you enjoy about your role & what’s unique about working here?

The best part is the complete autonomy. The systems we put in place enables me to understand the ins and outs of the business which makes responding to queries easy. I'm also fortunate to have an understanding manager – he’s firm yet positive, and the friendly working atmosphere is really unique here.

What motivates you about the role?

It’s opened up a whole new career path that I never considered, but my biggest motivations are my kids. To work in a supportive environment that enables me to build a life for myself and my kids are my biggest drivers.

Why do you think sustainability is important?

Given my indigenous background, I really believe in this industry. It's vital for us to get off coal and the mining of the country - to not take more than what we need.

What do you hope to accomplish over the coming year outside of work?

My short-term goal is to participate in all the races on my bucket list (between 5km -100km), achieving great times and hopefully injury free!
